McDonnell- Douglas

McDonnell-Douglas Huntington Beach CA- Lighting and Controls retrofit of 6,280 fluorescent V.H.O. Fixtures in the 5 building 1,000,000 Square Foot Office Complex.
Conversion from V.H.O. T-12 to a Lupo Designed Snap-In T8 4 lamp Kit saved the facility 6 million kilowatt hours (kWh) and reduced the electrical demand by 1,132 kilowatts (kW) saving $298,691 at the time. At the higher utility rates of today, this dollar savings would be approximately $850,000 annually.
The project was awarded a $234,690 SCE rebate.  Project payback was less than 9 months. (National Write UP Energy Users News Winner)

Sprint

The Sprint project covered all land line facilities in the Sprint Telephone network covering office, transmission, control facilities and all other facilities. This covered all facilities in New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Nevada, Kansas, Missouri, Washington, Oregon and covered over 300 facilities. Average payback nationwide was less than 24 months covering a wide assortment of interior and exterior applications. Multi Million dollar project with millions of annualized energy savings.

US Marine Air Corp Miramar

The project covered the exterior high security sections of the base including but not limited to the base entrances. The reduction from 1000 watt Metal Halide fixtures to a Magnaray 212 watt linear fluorescent reduced the total wattage per fixture from 1,250 watts MH (with ballast) to 212 for the fluorescent representing a verified 83% energy savings. Following this design, the design was used on many US Marine and US Navy Bases world-wide.

State of Texas

This project applied to all Texas State Department of Health Facilities in the State of Texas. The retrofit covered the replacement of T-12 fluorescent 4 lamp fixtures to a Lupo designed 2 lamp T8 fixture with reflector. Payback was 18 months. Controls were used to reduce usage in non-occupied areas. State of Texas issued a one of a kind letter of reference for a State project.

Nordstrom

 Involved the first ever re-design of a 2 lamp U-bend lamp fixtures at 84 watts to a upgraded 2 lamp 34 watt fixture with reflector. This facility upgrade covered all Nordstrom stores nationally. The retrofit fixture design is now one of the worlds top selling new fixtures known for the low energy usage.

Fulton County ISD

Upgrade covered over 75 schools, and administrative buildings in the school district which surrounds Atlanta. The total project included over 1,000,000 T8 lamps and 500,000 ballast.

Farmers Insurance

Farmer’s Insurance company district offices including Texas, Pennsylvania, Kansas, and California were completed covering all district offices of Farmers Insurance nationwide. The fixture assortment and age of the buildings were varied but all facilities reported less than 18 month payback and were normally operating 2 shifts with a 24 hour section per facility. Controls were used to turn lights out after the second shift left.

Loma Linda Hospital

Loma Linda's world renown hospital was one of our first projects and included the change out of thousands of incandescent bulbs to energy efficient fluorescent lights, followed by conversion from T12 to T8 fixtures. Rebate was furnished by SCE

Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes Chain

This project covered all locations nationwide under both chain names. The conversion covered conversion of the fluorescent fixtures to new T8 fixtures, while all the flood / spot lights were converted to fluoresent foods. After rebates from local utiltiy companies where applicable, the payback of the project was less than 9 months. The total project was funded on a performance based funding contract where the savings achevied paid for the upgrade with no up front out of pocket cash.

Miller Brewing Company

Miller Brewing Company Irwindale CA was completed for a full interior lighting retrofit project which had great payback and was able to capture a large rebate from Southern California Edison. This projects as an award winner and was published in national publication Energy Users News.

University of Texas

Lupo worked with University of Texas main campus Austin Texas to engineer and design lighting upgrade system for many of the school's historic classroom buildings, administrative buildings, and the world famous museum. In addition to the design work, Lupo was awarded 4 of the 6 contracts for the construction part of the project.

Lupo was awarded the design and installation of the US corporate headquarters of the Hyundai facility in Costa Mesa CA. Conversion facility wide covered office areas, executive suites, cafeteria, employees areas, and all public areas of the facility.

Southwestern Bell Telephone (AT&T)

The Austin Texas headquarters location covered the use of dimming ballast, controllers to utilize daylight harvesting  in a building by zoning the lighting take full use of natural light from the glass housing. This project was one of the first use of daylight harvesting, which has now become the requirements of Title 24 in California.

Completed a national upgrade of Bergen Brunswig Company facilities upgrading the complete lighting system in the Nations largest drug supply company.
